WAYFINDER PROGRAM
A path forward for youth and families
What is Wayfinder?
Higher Ground Counseling's Wayfinder Program is an outpatient program serving children, pre-teens, teens, and young adults who have engaged in problematic sexual behaviors (PSB) or illegal sexual behaviors (ISB).
Within Wayfinder, the Sitka Center serves children, ages 4–12, with a specialized focus on PSBs. Wayfinder more broadly serves youth 13 and older with ISBs. Many are involved in Juvenile Justice, DHS, or other systems—while some are referred earlier, before deeper system involvement occurs.
All services are designed for youth who are safe to remain in the community and participate in outpatient treatment.

Collaboration & Coordination

A Path Toward Healing
When appropriate, treatment may include a restorative process called clarification, supporting healing, accountability, and safer family relationships. This reflects Higher Ground's family-centered model—allowing coordinated care for both youth who have caused harm and those who have been impacted.
